Facebook, whatsApp and Instagram down

there are many users who have reported that they are not able to download images or see the status of their friends. My friends and myself are also having the same issue.
here is the failure message. hoping it will get restored soon.

Over the weekend, I logged into my LinkedIn account to check about who,in my friend list have got promoted, changed their jobs, and what are the skills or the certificates they have earned in the last 3 months. It was a Friday evening, the more relaxed time of the week after attending tons of meetings and clearing up the huge backlog, I happened to start a conversation with one of my colleagues on the most popular news of the day—the topper of this year’s IIT entrance exam has scored full marks i.e. 360/360.
